Heroes of the City - A New App for Kids & Prize Pack Giveaway!!

I was asked to review the new app for Heroes of the City, and was very excited to do so! Targeted at 2-6 year olds this app is perfect for my 2 little ones.

The Heroes of the City app includes games based on the television series. The free games included are jigsaw puzzles, a pair matching game and a train game. There is an option of purchasing more games in the app. There is also one free movie and one free music video within the app, with the opportunity to buy more. The games are very easy to play and the graphics are pleasing to the eyes. You can earn virtual trophies, which are collected in the app. Check out this wonderful trailer for the app.

Created by Ruta Ett DVD AB, Heroes of the City is a cartoon about rescue vehicles in a small town where everyone can be a hero. You will meet such characters as Fiona Fire Engine and Paulie Police Car as they find thieves, put out fires and solve mysteries in the usually quiet town. It stresses the importance of friendships and helping each other. The movies are adorable and easy for little ones to understand.

Magic Kingdom's Harmony Barber Shop

Did you know that you could get your hair cut at Disney World's Magic Kingdom? We didn't until recently and since our little girl Delaney was due to get her first hair cut we were excited to take her there. Harmony Barber Shop has a great deals including one for little ones getting their first hair cut!

The barber shop is located on Main Street in between the Emporium and the house where the carriage horse is kept. If you tend to go straight for the castle you may miss it!

Although Harmony does recommend calling and making an appointment, we took a chance and went on a Saturday afternoon. If you are visiting on vacation, you will definitely want to make an appointment (407-WDW-PLAY). We went straight to the shop once arriving in the park to see if walk ins were available. We only had to wait about 15 minutes!

Delaney did a great job sitting for her cut, and her stylist Orlando was wonderful. The atmosphere of the shop is very old fashioned and even features a pot bellied stove. They do great things for the kid's first cut including commemorative ears, a certificate and a keepsake pouch with some of their hair and pixie dust!

She doesn't look too happy here, but Delaney had a great experience at Harmony Barber Shop and we enjoyed sharing this with her.

The certificate is great for framing, and I am sure we will cherish it for years to come!
